The Fondazione
Bevilacqua La Masa announces a personal exhibition of
works by Marlene Dumas. The exhibition is entitled Suspect
and is curated by Gianni Romano.
Suspect includes a number of recent works,
as well as a series of others that have been created
specially for this exhibition in Venice and its alluring
setting in Palazzetto Tito. Apart from the unique dual
exhibition of Dumas' works alongside Francis Bacon in
1995 (Malmö Kunsthalle and Rivoli Castle), Suspect
can be considered the first personal exhibition by
Marlene Dumas to be held in an Italian museum setting.
